About Psychotherapy

In my view, psychotherapy is a collaborative endeavor between client and therapist. It involves uncovering your internal experience and learning how these thoughts and feelings impact relationship with yourself and others. At times the process is relatively straightforward as we work to develop practical strategies for managing the challenges of daily living. Yet the journey can also take unexpected turns as you learn surprising truths about yourself and those in your life, at times resulting in joyful revelation and other times revealing painful emotions. Psychotherapy can make use of all these events, increasing your capacity to navigate the complexities of life and relationships, building your resilience and stability in the face of adversity, increasing your ability to manage and tolerate both joy and pain, and learning to experience more fulfilling relationships.
